Five Expert Tips for Agile Perfection

Isos Technology was recently a proud Platinum Sponsor of Agile Arizona, a regional conference that brought together Agile experts from all over the country. We had an amazing time at this event, and really enjoyed talking to the attendees about the value of the Atlassian toolset when it comes to kickstarting Agile initiatives. In the spirit of this conference, we thought we'd share some of OUR experts' tips and tricks for Agile perfection:

1. Define done. Make sure everyone on the team

knows exactly what is to be delivered. Never demo incomplete code. Avoid giving demos to stakeholders too early.

2. Set a sustainable pace. Unrealistic resource planning fuels burnout and incomplete sprints. Keep your resources focused on singular tasks in the sprint.

3. Hindsight is 20/20. Remember to do retrospectives and keep in mind that the scrum process is iterative. Always look for ways to improve the process.

4. Continuous Integration. Your software should always be buildable, tested and therefore
shippable. Ultimately, your output must meet
requirements and create happy customers.

5. Reality = The Board. Everything on the board should be current and consistent with reality. Every blocker should be well documented, current and accurate.

Brikit Content Flow Brings Easy Business Workflows to Confluence

Brikit is a leading provider of software add-ons for the Atlassian tools and a longtime Isos partner. Here, Charlie Levenson from Brikit shares with us how managing your content lifecycle in Confluence is about to get a whole lot easier with Content Flow.

At Brikit, we're all about making Confluence work better so your teams can be more productive and successful. Having a website (internal OR external) with lots of content is great, but managing all that content can be a headache. Our newest application, Content Flow, addresses content management needs that plague many Confluence users.

Streamline your business with workflows
You can bring consistency and efficiency to your business processes by implementing workflows for each page. Set up a pre-defined processes to review, track, notify, and forward content. Automatically collect feedback, route information, and manage approvals. Nothing will ever get lost in an in-box or accidentally published without necessary review.

Take control of your publishing
Now you can develop ideas in private and refine them with shared drafts. Pre-defined and custom workflows let you select and prioritize the right people to review and approve content before it's published. You decide who sees what, and when.

Keep content fresh and relevant
The bane of many websites is stale and out-of-date information. Now you can keep your content "farmer's market" fresh. You set expiration policies that drive content reviews or automatic archiving. When you want to get out ahead, but not too far ahead, you can schedule content with publishing dates.

Based on the valuable feedback we've received from users during our beta program, there is a fully updated launch version coming in mid-October. Your biggest issues with managing content in Confluence will soon be much easier to handle.
