3 Killer Confluence Add-ons to Make Nearly Any Development Environment Easier

There's so much to learn and know about the Atlassian stack, which is why we often feature product-specific best practices and tips. This time it's Confluence!

Sure, it's for collaboration, everyone knows that. What you might NOT know is just how flexible Confluence can be, especially with some powerful, visual add-ons that transform the user experience.

Don't Let My Wiki Die

Here are three Confluence add-ons we think are worth taking a look at to help you maximize tool efficiency and avoid the info-overload paralysis that can lead to slow and painful wiki deaths.

1. Table Filter & Charts. Since the human brain processes visuals 60,000 times faster than text, simply improving aesthetics of data with charts is mind-blowing. And thanks to Google, our brains are wired for fast keyword searching, so easy filters also make this add-on rock. Suddenly raw data goes from "Meh:/" to "Ah-Ha!"  Life changing, no?

2. Linchpin. Corporate intranets are great in theory, but not always well executed. If you're tired of messing with over-complicated or under-featured tools like Sharepoint and Jive, Linchpin might be the way to go. Create beautiful intranet experiences that are personalized to the user and so simple, you'll say "Voila!" in no time. Not convinced? Check out this article comparing them all.

3. Gliffy. For such a cute product name, Gliffy packs a serious productivity punch. If you've ever used it for building visual workflows, it's time to check out how it can add-on a seriously easy diagram function to Confluence that makes communications and collaboration dead simple. BAM!
